To involve students in fulfilling the mission of the Wellness Council:
“...to cultivate a social and physical environment that encourages individual wellness and nurtures a vibrant and just community.”
How will the goal be accomplished?
Opportunities for students to contribute to campus Wellness will be created by offering up to $300 in resources in the form of mini-grants. The mini-grants are available to be used for projects that
1) address any one or a combination of Western’s Healthy Campus 2010 goals and objectives, and serves to fulfill the mission of the Wellness Council (see attached).
2) target students or other members of the campus community, and
3) have the potential for greatest Wellness impact
Proposals will be considered for the following factors: relevance to the objectives, proposed reach of target group, and extent of proposed impact.
Deadlines: Proposals will be reviewed and funded as received. Applications will not be considered if received after October 31, 2008 for the Fall semester and March 31, 2009 for the Spring semester.
Who is eligible?
Any currently enrolled student or group of students is eligible to apply.
Use of funds:
Funds may be used for art supplies, educational materials, costumes/props, advertising, food (if educational in nature), stipends for professional speakers, mileage (limited)
Funds may NOT be used for wages or salaries, food (if only for entertainment or incentives purposes), conference registrations travel
