WCU School of Music to host Nov. 6 faculty recital
10/17/2008 - Western Carolina University’s Travis Bennett, assistant professor of horn, will present a School of Music faculty recital at 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, in the recital hall of Coulter Building on Western’s campus.
The first half of the program will be works for the horn and piano by Gilbert Vinter, Charles Gounod and Halsey Stevens. Bennett will be assisted by Andrew Adams, WCU assistant professor of music, on the piano. For the second half of the program, Bennett will be joined by Bradley Martin, WCU assistant professor of musical theatre, on the piano and Qiao Solomon, a faculty member from Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Ga., on the violin for a performance of Brahms’ “Trio in E-flat, Op. 40.”
The concert is free and open to the public.
