Mountain Heritage Day

Join us on Sat, Sept 29, 2012, for a vibrant festival day here in the mountains of North Carolina!

Cherokee stickballThe 38th annual Mountain Heritage day is a combination old-fashioned mountain fair and showcase for Southern Appalachian music, dance and song, with the atmosphere of a big family reunion.

On the campus of Western Carolina University, the festival features:

  • Three live entertainment stages
  • More than 100 vendors of food and juried arts and crafts
  • Cherokee stickball games
  • Shapenote singing
  • Heritage demonstrations
  • Chainsaw competition
  • Children's activities
  • Antique Auto show

Admission to the festival grounds and parking are free.
Pets are not allowed at the festival, but service animals are welcome.
