Artists sought for WCU’s Mountain Heritage Day festival
Arts and crafts vendors are being sought to participate in Mountain Heritage Day, WCU’s annual fall festival of traditional Appalachian culture.

Revised documentary to be unveiled
Special events being planned around the March 29 installation of WCU’s new chancellor include the showing of a newly updated and digitized version of “Bells in the Valley.”

String band closing out jam series
The New Southern Ramblers have entertained audiences across the nation for decades, with performances in recent years at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival and MerleFest.

‘Liars Bench’ fundraising shows to be presented
WCU’s Mountain Heritage Center will host two benefit performances of “The Liars Bench” Southern Appalachian variety show at 7 p.m. Thursday – Feb. 16 and 23.

Series to feature Chompin’ at the Bit String Band
The First Thursday Old-Time and Bluegrass Jam Series will continue at WCU’s Mountain Heritage Center on Thursday, Feb. 2, with a concert featuring the Chompin’ at the Bit String Band of Asheville.
