The Mountain Heritage Center, Western Carolina University’s museum of Appalachian culture and history, recently implemented a new schedule of visiting hours that includes being open on Saturdays for five months of the year.
The center’s new year-round operating schedule is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday. Also, from June through October, the museum will be open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Mountain Heritage Center is closed on Sunday.
