WCU's Mountain Heritage Center announces new hours of operation

The Mountain Heritage Center, Western Carolina University’s museum of Appalachian culture and history, recently implemented a new schedule of visiting hours that includes being open on Saturdays for five months of the year.

The center’s new year-round operating schedule is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday. Also, from June through October, the museum will be open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Mountain Heritage Center is closed on Sunday.

Admission to the museum is free. The Mountain Heritage Center is located on the ground floor of WCU’s H.F. Robinson Administration Building. For more information about the center’s exhibits and programs, call (828) 227-7129 or go to www.wcu.edu/mhd on the Web.
