Brittany Hill, a senior clinical laboratory sciences major at Western Carolina University from Waynesville, has won the Dorothy Morrison Memorial Scholarship from the national Alpha Mu Tau fraternity for clinical laboratory sciences professionals.
The $1,000 scholarship was presented recently at the annual meeting of the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science.
After graduation, Hill plans to work in a hospital laboratory or physician’s office. Someday, she would like to work in a research laboratory.
“This scholarship is a great honor,” said Hill. “So much has been given to me, and I want to be able to give back to society through human services.”
Hill, a 2006 graduate of Tuscola High School, is the daughter of Mike and Sheree Hill.
