Rock 'n' roll band Hinder

Tickets are on sale now for an upcoming concert by rock ‘n’ roll band Hinder (pictured above) at Western Carolina University’s Ramsey Center.

The concert line-up, presented by Last Minute Productions, is set for 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 14, and will include a special guest performance by rock band Puddle of Mudd.

Hinder’s current hits include “Lips of an Angel” from the album Extreme Behavior. The music of Hinder is filled with “flick-your-Bic moments of arena-rock grandeur, all crackling dual lead guitars, ethereal four-part harmonies and soaring beat-your-chest rock vocals,” critics say. Hailing from Oklahoma City, the post-grunge hard rockers say their band is all about “four people singing and putting on a big rock show.”

Puddle of Mudd’s major-label debut album Come Clean spawned the lead single “Control,” which became the theme song for the WWE Survivor Series 2001. Other chart-topping hits include “She Hates Me” and “Blurry.” The band has toured alongside the likes of Godsmack, Stone Temple Pilots, Linkin Park and Staind.

Last Minute Productions, the student-run entertainment and activity planning organization at WCU, is focusing efforts on bringing headline acts to Cullowhee. “We’re excited that Hinder is coming to campus. The band has a great appeal to the majority of students,” said Jason Eckard, music chair for Last Minute Productions.

General admission tickets are $20 in advance and at the door. WCU students with valid identification may purchase tickets in advance for $15. A limited number of floor tickets are available.
