Peter Savage
A performance instructor at WCU, Peter teaches Acting, Theatre in Education, Improvisation, World Theatre & The Theatre Experience as well as the Actor’s Conservatory course. Peter has also directed on the WCU Mainstage with such shows as Almost, Maine, Manuscript and most recently Romantic Fools, the first of the new Niggli Series.
He is member of Actor’s Equity and continues to work as a professional actor locally with NC Stage in Asheville and the Parkway Playhouse in Burnsville, NC. Peter received his undergraduate degree in Theatre from the University of Montana where he started the improvisation company "The Shoppe". He then attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he completed his MFA studies in the Professional Actor Training Program.
Peter is also the regional coordinator of the North Carolina Theatre Conference, High School Theatre Festival held each fall at WCU.
