As you prepare to apply to WCU, be sure to note the special instructions for transfer students regarding admission requirements, the application checklist, and important dates and deadlines.
And to help you on your path to success, we’ve compiled a list of some of the policies that may affect you if you choose to continue your studies at WCU. Be sure to review this information before you apply:
- To earn a degree from WCU, you must complete at least 30 to 32 credit hours in upper-level coursework here, including 12 hours in your major.
- The department/school of your major and the registrar decide how much of your existing credit may be applied toward your degree, and you must have received a C or better in order for a course to receive transfer credit.
- In some cases, transfer students are required to take an exam or asked to complete more advanced work in the discipline.
- Credit for a degree is not awarded for Continuing Education Units (CEU) or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) tests.
We also encourage you to audit any applicable prerequisite courses if you haven’t taken courses in that field in the past five years. Bear in mind that auditing prerequisite courses may lengthen the time it takes to complete your degree.
