Future of electricity talk planned for Dec. 4 at WCU

Revis James, director of the Energy Technology Assessment Center of the Electric Power Research Institute, will make a presentation titled “The ElectriNet – Creating the Electricity Network of the Future” at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, in the theater of A.K. Hinds University Center.

WCU creates entrepreneurship hub, renames engineering resource arm

The board of trustees at WCU has endorsed the creation of a center to spur new ideas for business ventures in Western North Carolina and renamed an existing center to better reflect its increasing role in using the university’s high-tech resources to provide technical assistance to regional business and industry.
