WCU Foundation
The Western Carolina University Foundation promotes higher education, particularly in Western North Carolina, and supports the enhancement of Western Carolina University. The Foundations's goal is to aid and assist Western Carolina University in its development as a leading educational institution.
The Foundation assists Western in many ways, by creating scholarships and endowments, and in providing supplemental funds for both students and faculty.
Management of the Western Carolina University is vested in its Board of Directors who provide oversight for the foundation's efforts. Membership for the Foundation Board of Directors is determined yearly at its annual meeting.
The Foundation is organized to focus exclusively on charitable, educational, literary and scientific purposes.
