Education:

• Master’s degree in Criminal Justice, Michigan State University

Biography:

Professor Merritt has completed most requirements towards a doctorate with concentrations in criminal justice planning, implementation and evaluation; social psychology; and industrial psychology. She taught at two major institutions and has work experience in criminal justice planning at the state level, law enforcement, and security.

Professor Merritt is the director of distance learning for the Criminal Justice Online Program as well as instructor for resident courses. She teaches courses related to law enforcement, courts, research methods, and special issues in criminal justice.
