The Modern Foreign Languages department offers you the world.
Our programs not only build and broaden language skills, but also expose you to the rich culture and history of the world’s people and places. Our comprehensive and intensive range of courses allows for the study of a wide variety of languages, including Cherokee, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Latin, and Spanish.
We offer you academic programs that include majors and minors in German and Spanish, a B.S.Ed. in Spanish, and disciplinary focus areas in foreign language.
In addition to your curricular pursuits, you’ll find no end of special opportunities and events to get involved in—student-run organizations, Study Abroad, Hispanic Heritage Month, Spanish House, foreign language contests, to name but a few.
