The Modern Foreign Languages Department cordially welcomes you to Western Carolina University and to the department that offers you access to the world.
Knowing and understanding other languages and cultures can open many doors to you, both professionally and personally. We hope you take advantage of the opportunity to study Cherokee, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Latin, or Spanish with us. We offer majors, minors, and second academic concentrations in German and Spanish. We also encourage you to consider one of the many study abroad programs available to WCU students.
