About the Physical Therapy Department
The physical therapy profession tends to draw individuals who are intellectually curious, energetic, and compassionate. Their respect for the human body encourages healthy, active lifestyles. Their interest in helping others spills over to friendships among their classmates that last a lifetime.
The department awards a Master of Physical Therapy (M.P.T.) degree in a full-time program that is 24 months in length. Students willing to work hard will earn a degree from a well-respected program in a relatively short time span at low cost.
Graduates of the program consistently exceed state and national pass rates on the physical therapy licensing examination. As licensed physical therapists in a very favorable job market, graduates have the option of continuing their education or becoming clinical specialists.
