Parents Utilizing Standards at Home (P.U.S.H.)
This six-hour train-the-trainer session will prepare participants to conduct a series of 60 - 75 minute workshops for parents and family members who have children in grades K - 8. The workshops focus on the North Carolina Standard Course of Study in mathematics and how to help children achieve the Standards. These workshops clarify why it is important for children to have a solid background in mathematics and why it is important for parents/family members to become advocates and active participants in their children's education. The workshop will be held on the WCU campus, 141 Cordelia Camp Bldg, on 11/8/2008.

Green and Micro Scale Chemistry
This workshop, for Middle and High School Science Teachers and Science Specialists, provides an introduction to Green and Micro Scale Chemistry with an emphasis on their incorporation into chemistry courses and how they fit into the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. The workshop will be held on the WCU campus, 143 Cordelia Camp Bldg, on 11/18/2008.
