
Connie Jones, Assistant Principal, Enka High School

Connie has taught at Enka High School in Buncombe County School District since 1974 and is currently Assistant principal. She is the recipient of the Terry Sanford Award for Innovative Teaching (NCAE)-1999; Outstanding Biology Teaching Award (OBTA for North Carolina)-1997; and the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching-1996.
She has her B.S. from Furman University (1974) and will complete her Master in School Administration (M.S.A.) at WCU in August 2006. She is acknowledged by faculty as a forward-thinking leader who brings her teaching skills into the role of school leader.
