Women's Studies is an interdisciplinary subject, so in this guide we refer to works that cover a variety of areas, such as social science, health, history, literature, and the arts, as they relate specifically to women or gender issues. Because the scope is so broad, we have to be selective. Use this guide as a first step, and ask for help if you don't find what you need.

The Getting Started page lists encyclopedias and dictionaries which provide background information. Find Books/Media leads you to the library’s catalog to search for books, videos, and other media. Find Articles lists databases and shows you how to find electronic and print journals. Finally, there are pages that link you to useful websites.
